Vieques: Diary of a Struggle is a documentary that explores the gritty quest for justice of a grandmother who takes bold action to end more than a half century of U.S. Navy bombing exercises on Vieques, and secure a future for her grandchildren. With more and more of her neighbors dying from cancer and other illnesses related to the relentless bombing, this lively spirit fights back to save her island, its people and their peaceful way of life.

We spend a third of our life sleeping, but nearly that much time studying sleep or its effects. To look further into the topic, I spent 72 hours awake, charting and filming the effects of sleeplessness on my life. As time moved on, my body broke down both physically and emotionally. The experience is interspersed with commentary from a PhD in Neuroscience, giving depth to the history and importance of sleep in our lives.
